October 19, 2023

Every fall, the picturesque downtown of Lincolnton, North Carolina, transforms into a vibrant tapestry of colors and flavors, welcoming over 80,000 visitors. It's a time-honored tradition that has been celebrating the bounties of the fall harvest since 1972, growing from humble beginnings into the grand spectacle it is today. The Lincoln County Apple Festival is a true testament to the spirit of community and the love for all things apple.

The roots of the Lincoln County Apple Festival trace back to the early 1970s. Back then, it was a small gathering with only around 300 visitors. Today, the Lincoln County Apple Festival is the product of a dedicated volunteer board of directors, committed to the festival's original concept: celebrating all that Lincoln County and the region have to offer in a safe, family-friendly atmosphere.

The festival features five local apple growers, a bustling farmer's market, and local talent showcased on two stages. Mouthwatering foods include whole apple pies and a variety of apple-infused delights. For the little ones, there are engaging and entertaining kids' activities. More than 250 vendors line the streets, offering crafts and exhibits that captivate all ages.
