Celebrating Juneteenth acknowledges the struggle, resilience, and triumph of the Black community, highlighting the ongoing pursuit of justice and equality. It serves as a reminder of the importance of freedom, educates about the history of slavery, promotes cultural understanding, and fosters unity and solidarity in the pursuit of a more inclusive and equitable society. June 18 - 4 PM Parade at Centennial Rotary Pavilion uptown, followed by festival activities like live entertainment, African Drum and Dance Collective, local Artists and more.
