Make A Magical Christmas

Ideas to make special memories

By Macaroni KID November 24, 2021
I love Christmas! From watching movies on tv to driving around looking at lights to doing my holiday baking, but I especially love all the little ways you can make Christmas even more magical for your little ones. So here are some ideas to make your Christmas even Merrier this year!

The Elf On The Shelf: First you need to adopt an Elf!   The little elf receives his/her elf name by your family and then has the magic needed to fly to the North Pole each and every night while all the girls and boys are sound asleep! While there Santa gets a report on all the naughty and nice happenings during the day. The elf flies back to hide in a new location just in time for your little ones to wake up each morning. When the elf arrives at your house is up to you but the day after Thanksgiving seems to be a perfect time. The shenanigans last until Christmas Morning when your elf leaves until next year.

Reindeer Cam: Santa's Official Reindeer Live Feed! Kids of all ages love checking in on Santa's reindeer through this magical live feed. You can tune in at any time during the day and see what Santa's reindeer are up to. Feeding times are 11am, 6pm, and 9pm you can catch Santa and his elf friends feeding the reindeer. Be sure to check out the rolling "Nice List" so your little one can see if their name is on it. Santa has some other things up his sleeve throughout the weeks leading up to the big day.

The Pajama Elves: This is a story about the special elves at the North Pole who sew Pajamas with magical string that help children to sleep soundly on Christmas Eve! It's so much fun reading this book then receiving your "Special Delivery" straight from the North Pole, delivered by your Elf! Everyone loves special magical pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve!

Sealed By Santa: Sealed by Santa has memorable packages starting at $12.95. They have everything from letters from Santa, videos of Santa and even live phone calls from the man himself. All letters are postmarked from the North Pole and include Magical Reindeer Food. Little ones are amazed when they get their personalized letter, call or video.

NORAD Santa Tracker:  December 1st the Norad Santa Tracker begins it's official countdown to Santa's trip on On Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve children can tune in with excitement as they track Santa Claus as he leaves the North Pole and delivers presents to children all around the world.

iCaughtSanta: This is perhaps one of the coolest things that proves that Santa really was in the house.  In 3 easy steps you can turn a typical picture taken in your house into one with Santa caught in the act! He can be by the Christmas tree, coming down the chimney, eating milk and cookies, etc.

Watch Christmas Movies: Rent them, pop in the DVD or catch them on TV!

Leave Signs That Santa Visited: Last year I cut a sponge in the shape of a reindeer hoof and used brown washable paint to make hoof prints on the walkway right where my son had sprinkled the "reindeer food". When he went out to see if the reindeer ate their food, he couldn't believe his eyes. He was also in awe when he found a bell that must have fell off of the sleigh!

Make Christmas Cookies Together:  Turn off the TV, put away the electronics, put the Christmas carols on and spend some priceless time together decorating sugar cookies. Pick a day, a night, or even just an hour to enjoy the fun!

Countdown to Christmas: Pick a craft or two or more to start celebrating the season together. There are lots of ideas right here on Macaroni KID!

Enjoy making your own family traditions and memories!🎄❄🎅
