WEBSITE FEATURES
1. The Calendar feature lets you to see the whole month at a glance so you can plan ahead for upcoming events.
2. The pink My Macaroni button that appears above Submit an Event is a cool and very useful feature! You will love it! To use this feature, click on the blue plus sign next to the words "Add to My Macaroni" which is located under all event listings. After you've selected all of the events that you are interested in, click on the My Macaroni button and it will generate a list for you! You can then click on Download PDF that creates a .pdf document that you can save and/or print to take with you!! You will then have all the event details right at hand when you're on the road!
3. Submit an Event - Do you know of a great family friendly event that is not listed on our calendar? Then click on this button to send us information for events in your area! We will include any free local events that you send over!
4. Under Submit an Event, there is a white box titled "Lincolnton - Gastonia News and Events." This is your Table of Contents for all the articles this week. You can "jump" to any of the articles or the events listed by clicking inside this box on the title of the article you want to read; you will still be in the current newsletter.

Under the National section there are several national newsletters listed (Family Travel, National Newsletter, Macaroni Kid Eats, Military Families, Safety Announcements, Family Fitness etc.) You can change your subscription preferences any time by re-entering your information in the subscribe form, as long as you use the same email address as the original subscription. (If you need to change the newsletter subscriptions AND email address, you can reply to the newsletter for all.) If I entered your information, you are only subscribed to the local newsletter. I am also happy to help if you need it!
6. If you would like to read a previous newsletter, scroll down the page until you see the section title Local . Click on "Past Lincolnton-Gastonia News" and it will take you to the Archives where the dates of the previous newsletters are listed and you can choose which newsletter you want to look at. Click on the Macaroni Kid logo at the top of the site to come back to the current newsletter.
7. READ MORE - only a portion of the article will show in the newsletter, so click the "READ MORE" button in pink beneath the article and then the whole article will be visible
OTHER MACARONI TIDBITS
1. If you ever need to change your email address, you can hit reply on any newsletter, send me your new email address and I can change it for you.
2. Support our sponsors. Sponsors make it possible for me to offer this free service to you. Each local ad is approved and added to the page by me, so I can assure you that they are safe to click through. Likewise, all national ads are approved by the home office. Of course any transactions between you and the advertiser are the responsibility of the two parties involved and not myself or Macaroni Kid.
3. Comment on things you like or send me an email by replying to the newsletter so I know what kinds of things you like to read about! If you have any suggestions for articles, please let me know!
4. Please share Macaroni Kid with your friends. What parent isn't looking for ideas to keep the kids busy? Don't keep this all to yourself! Plus, the bigger we get, the more features we can add. The bottom of your email weekly has an easy way to send it to a friend ! We love when you share!
5. Not All the Good Stuff is Up Here! Don't forget to scroll down to the bottom of the newsletter where you can often find craft ideas, recipes and other great articles! Due to a large number of events in one week, the newsletter may be clipped short in your emailed newsletter. Click through to the website to see more great events and the remainder of your newsletter content!
6. If you are away on business, vacation or visiting friends in another city, check out our Macaroni Kid sites throughout the country to see what is going on there! We have over 500 ! Simply go to www.macaronikid.com and choose the state and the drop down box will list all the cities where Macaroni Kid has a Publisher. If your city is not found, let me know; maybe we can find a new Publishing Mom!
